Голландский внедорожник появится в 2009 году

Представители голландской компании Spyker заявили, что в 2009 году они совсем достоверно начнут серийное производство самого шикарного внедорожника в мире под названием Spyker D12 Peking to Paris.

Напомним, что премьера этой модели прошла в марте прошлого года на автосалоне в Женеве. Тогда этот автомашина поразил всех не лишь своей роскошью, однако и двигателем (W12 объемом 6,0 л, 500 л.с., 610 нм), а также ценой. Эту машину голландцы хотят торговать за $340 000.

По предварительным данным, Spyker уже получил несколько десятков заказов на собственный новоиспеченный внедорожник, какой будет первым автомобилем класса SSUV (Super Sport Utility Vehicle). Или, по-простому, суперкроссовер. Ожидается, что первые машины поступят к заказчикам в начале 2009 года.

Брно останется в календаре MotoGP до 2013
Один из этапов чемпионата MotoGP будет протекать в Брно, будто самое меньшее до 2013 года, благодаря продленному соглашению между владельцами трека с владельцем коммерческих прав на серию MotoGP компанией Dorna Sports.

Интересно, что подписанный ранее контракт предполагал проведение этапов чемпионата до 2011 года, а новоиспеченный - пролонгировал поступок первоначального на два года, таким образом от мала до велика - те кто мечтал увидать гонку в Брно живьем смогут сделать это будто самое малое пять один. Кстати, прошедший в Брно уик-енд MotoGP посетили 240,000 зрителей.

Автомотодром в Брно – традиционное пункт для розыгрыша Гран-при Чехии, пока что что единственного этапа MotoGP, проходящего на территории Восточной Европы. Это весьма длинная линия – 5 403 метра. И широкая – 15 метров. При этом на треке немножко поворотов – 8 правых и 6 левых. Длина самого длинного прямого участка – 636 метров. Впервые Гран-При в Брно проводилось в 1965 году, на трассе длинной 13,94 км. В 1987 году была построена новая линия, которая была модернизирована в 1996. Рекорд прохождения круга на этом треке принадлежит Валентино Росси и был установлен им в 2006 году – 1′56.191. Гонка в классе MotoGP длится 22 круга (118,866 км), гонка в классе 250сс идет 20 кругов (108,06 км), гонка в классе 125сс продолжается 19 кругов (102,657 км).

Внедорожник Toyota Highlander получит четырехцилиндровый мотор

Японский автоконцерн Toyota анонсировал четырехцилиндровый 2,7-литровый мотор, какой появится на новой версии внедорожника Highlander.

Новый двигатель станет альтернативой шестицилиндровым версиям - он будет обладать повышенной экономичностью и низким уровнем выбросов, однако при этом останется будет мощным - 187 лошадиных сил.

Toyota Highlander с новым мотором будет расходовать 10,7 литра бензина на сто километров в смешанном режиме, и 8,7 литра на “сотню” при езде по трассе. С автоматической трансмиссией внедорожник с четырехцилиндровым мотором будет достигать “сотни” итого за 9,7 секунды.

После основы производства автомашина будет предлагаться с тремя двигателями: новым четырехцилиндровым 2,7-литровым, 3,5 V6 и 3,5 V6 Hybrid. Стандартная версия внедорожника будет оборудована приводом на одну ось, двумя рядами сидений, кондиционером, шестиканальной аудиосистемой, центральным замком и круиз-контролем.

В сегодняшнее пора повстречать на дороге электрический суперкар Tesla Roadster пока что еще раритет. А уж если этот автомашина стоимостью возле 100 000 доларов попадает в серьезную аварию, это претендент на главную новинка в местных СМИ.

Так, на прошлой неделе, 29 октября, на юге Франции подобный негустой электромобиль стал жертвой ДТП. За рулем Tesla Roadster находился директор по продажам Tesla, какой демонстрировал возможности автомобиля потенциальному покупателю, сидевшему совместно с ним в машине.

Как сообщает Carscoop, представитель автокомпании разогнал спорткар до 160 км/ч, однако не справился с управлением. Причиной ДТП, вероятно, стала не лишь высокая скорость, однако и мокрая путь и ограниченная видимость, в условиях которой проходил тест-драйв.

Как видать по фотографиям, авария была весьма серьезной. Автомобиль уже врядли подлежит восстановлению.

Просто чудом оба человека, находящиеся в машине, выжили. Водитель получил перелом руки и незначительные ушибы. Его пассажир был госпитализирован, однако уже выписан из больницы.

Ultimate NASCAR Fan Sienna Rampvan

Typically SEMA and minivans aren’t words commonly used in the same sentence but that changes this year with the announcement of Toyota’s Ultimate NASCAR Fan Sienna Rampvan.

The special van was built by BraunAbility and highlights how adaptable the van is to the handicapped. The passenger seats are removable and offer tie down points for up to three wheelchairs when they are taken out of the vehicle. Helping to get the wheelchairs in and out of the van is a floor that has been lowered 11″, a foldout ramp, and a “kneeling” rear suspension.

Outside the van is decked out in a red and black paint scheme complete with Toyota racing decals. The exterior also features a number of special touches including a custom grill, air dam and simulated hood pins. Other ties into NASCAR include race car mandatory roofline air deflectors and a custom cut window net. Rounding out the other changes are 19-inch wheels fitted with Yokohama performance tires, an improved braking system, a rear spoiler and a new TRD exhaust tip.

The interior also gets a special makeover and features custom Katzkin seating in black and white leather with red suede accents, while carbon fiber trim is fitted to the instrument panel, doors and steering wheel.

2009 Yaris Five-Door Tailback at SEMA 2008

In 2009 Toyota releases the Yaris five-door liftback, a sort of sportsback for the young masses. Before that SEMA 2009 is seeing the first incarnation of its “street” version, the Yaris Five-Door Tailback concept. Presented in a green hue with gold metal flake pain, the car embraces things like wide body kit, widened front and rear fender flairs, 11-inch wide wheels, a custom hood and newly designed rear spoiler.

All very interesting, but not so much as the automated rear suicide doors and the horizontal rear split tailgate that makes it look like a truck load gate. As a young attraction the car features all things entertainment, things like a Pioneer audio visual system that displays a number of digital gauges and plays content through the integrated iPod.

Yaris Five-Door Tailback concept runs on compressed natural gas (CNG) system which allows the driver the option of switching to that fuel source at will.

Toyota Tacoma Truck Retro Concept at SEMA 2008

In a nod to the brand’s own history of building reliable trucks for a wide range of customers and purposes, Toyota present their Tacoma Truck Retro Concept at SEMA 2008. It brings the Tacoma to its bare foundations, featuring a 4-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed transmission and solid front axle-equipped four-wheel-drive.

Reminiscent of its 80s predecessors, American Racing wheels, Bushwhacker flares and a Grant’s Kustoms roll pan are featured. Grill, bumpers and lights are also custom, as is the Retro Concept’s brown interior with Recaro fabric and retro stripes finishing touch.

The guitar car is here. Or should that read the car guitar? Whatever.

Toyota says the interior design of this 6-string Matrix concept (by Austin Speed Shop) was inspired by Fender. Fender is the maker of guitars, such as the telecaster favored by rockers like Keith Richards or the stratocaster as used by Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton. No cabin pics are available yet but one would be really curious to see how you make a car cockpit look like a guitar.

What details Toyota does provide are on the sound and entertainment system. Useful, since you’re more likely to see and hear this car while it is sitting still on display at SEMA than ever watch it move.

There’s a 42-inch plasma screen HDTV by Panasonic, four amplifiers and 17 speakers in total. A guitar amplifier is included too and an integrated Sony Playstation 3 with the Rock Band music game in case your kid enjoys passing the time blaring guitar noise at you while you’re on a long drive. And who wouldn’t want that.

Is there a guitar? Well, at least for the SEMA show. And it will be played by…some marketing guy from Fender Custom Shop you’ve never hear of. Cool.

Yet More Details on Aston Martin one-77 Supercar Surface

Aston Martin’s One-77 super car was confirmed as a 7.0-litre bearer by Aston CEO Dr Ulrich Bez in the car’s promotional video. The second technical target was 700 bhp which Bez also said was likely as he emphasized the “art” and experience of One-77 more than its performance figures. It is an Aston Martin after all, and 0 - 100 numbers are but lower down the requirements list.

“It’s not all about power or being in a performance race with Bugatti,” said Bez. “It’s a fabulous, hand-built car that’s the pinnacle of what Aston Martin can achieve.”

We now have dimensions of the next hypercar from Britain. Measuring a Nile-wide 1990mm in width, the One-77 is obviously planted to squat almost provocatively close to the floor, at 1223mm close in fact. Length is pegged at 4576mm, making it shorter than the 4700mm DB9. It weighs a momy-sedan-beating 1500kg largely due to a carbon fiber bodyshell to be made in the Midlands and body panels fashioned out of aluminium.

Price-fitting appointments are a foregone conclusion as owners will be able to personalise their One-77s to a tee, thus making them even more exclusive than they already will be. How much more exclusive can you get at only five UK examples and six for the US? Well, how about Veyron-matching £1.02 million? Ouch! No sales have been confirmed yet but “100 expressions of interest” have been received.

Project GL MAMMUT by A.R.T.

German tuner A.R.T. has named its latest idea the MAMMUT, which is translated as MAMMOTH and you can see why. Appropriate because of size association but also because of current attitudes toward SUVs of this size, the GL could very well go the mammoth way. Before that though, treatment from A.R.T. is fitted to Mercedes-Benz’s GL-Class to the max; only the engine has received minimal work. The A.R.T. MAMMUT differs from standard dealer cars in a number of areas, so we’ll start from the exterior.

The MAMMUT holds its own looks-wise by going very aggressive, incorporating broadened front fenders, LED headlights, large nostriled air inlets, cornering lights and fog lights. As a consequence, MAMMUT by A.R.T. looks very purposeful upfront.

Rear lights are also LED and feature a function that illuminates them when any of the doors are open, which is a good safety precaution. Enhancing the look backside is an integrated rear diffuser, four-pipe hard-chrome tail pipes with A.R.T. logos and an integrated roof spoiler. Illuminating for passengers too, are the STEPLIGHTS which light up the running boards for easy access into the cabin area.

A sports steering wheel makes for quite an attentive driving experience and interior appointments are sharpened by a choice of the following combinations: leather/fine wood, leather/leather, leather/alcantara, or leather/carbon fiber.

So far only cars marked “CDI” have been completed, with V6 and V8 models lined up for treatment later. A.R.T. promises a 20% increase in speeds for the MAMMUT over the standard vehicle, yet fuel consumption is kept in check.
